Claire’s Diner
Where the Milkshakes rock and the good times roll.
On Friday, the exposure bar was transformed into a 1950’s diner, to say a fond farewell to our executive PA Claire Arendse, as she jets off back to Australia.
Like a scene from Happy Days, the diner was decked out with monochrome checked floor tiles, faux chrome features and a film screening of the classic, Back to the Future, all that was missing was for Arthur Fonzarelli and the gang to rock up and hang out.
After some tearful speeches, the jukebox jived into action and the authentic American cheeseburgers (freshly delivered from everyone’s favourite take away) were all gobbled up. The blender whizzed up some deliciously boozy (don’t knock it until you’ve tried it) Jack Daniels, peanut butter, maple syrup and ice cream milkshakes. That was until a strange burning smell was followed by a bang and the blender blew up.
But it didn’t ruin the vibe. The doors of Claire’s Diner didn’t close until every last drop was consumed.
