V&A Decode Exhibition

Where art ends and digital begins.

Decode: Digital Design Sensation at the V&A is the new interactive exhibition that is raising the profile of digital design, which is fast becoming the art of this age.
With International artists and designers such as Daniel Brown, Golan Levin, Daniel Rozin, Troika and Karsten Schmidt all displaying interactive, digital designs, this exhibition is an exploration not only in contemporary art but also innovation.

The true potential of each installation is only reached when an interaction is made. For example a life size mechanical eye blinks a second after the viewer blinks. A mirror constructed of woven motorised panels creates a responsive portrait of the person standing in front of it. There is also a unique clock, which has been generated by inviting the public to upload data online, it even has it’s own i-Phone app. so you can continue interacting with it.

Decode has been created by V&A in collaboration with onedotzero and is open from 8th December 09 – 11 April 10
